FAQ

What size and type of forklifts do you hire?

We have a comprehensive fleet of over 1500 trucks in our short term hire fleet, from small warehouse pallet trucks to specialist 16 ton heavy lift trucks. Our highly experienced hire controllers can advise you which truck will best suit you requirement or if necessary ask for an applications engineer to visit your site.

What does a hire contract include?

There are many types of contract in existence. Standard hire agreements should include all repair and maintenance of the equipment excluding accidental damage or abuse by the operator. Some contracts will include replacement of tyres and consumables such as light bulbs. The ‘Thorough inspection’, a legal Mot style test fulfilling HSE requirements under LOLER may also be included, depending if the contract is a short term hire, ‘on balance sheet’ or direct with a finance company. Always read the small print! If in doubt ask you supplier or ask for our advice.
